Take your Vape with you everywhere! The dos and don’ts for travelling with your Vape.

Just like going through customs with your laptop or your metal belt buckle, travelling with your vape can be a stressful time. To make it a little easier, we have put together a quick-fire list of do’s and don'ts for travelling with your Vape.

Travel vape tip 1.

Research your destination.

Know where you are going and understand their vaping laws and customs.

In some parts of the world Vaping is completely accepted and encouraged by local government and health authorities. However, in other parts of the world it is still illegal. It's best to know where you are going and what you can expect before you go.

Travel Vape tip 2.

If it’s a requirement, pack your prescription or a letter from your doctor.

Just like any medication that you take with you on holidays, you should always pack a copy of your prescription or a letter from your doctor detailing:

  • What the medicine is
  • How much you take
  • That it is for personal use

These documents are good to have on hand should the local authorities have any questions about your vape or nicotine pods. It’s also a great habit to get into for any prescription medication you may travel with.

Travel vape tip 3.

Vaping on planes.

Just like traditional smoking there are rules for using vapes on planes and in airports.

It's important to note that vaping is largely treated the same as smoking on planes and in airports.

The basic rules are:

You cannot vape on a commercial plane.

You can vape in designated smoking and vaping areas in airports.

Travel vape tip 4.

Packing your vape for travel

It's essential to pack your vape correctly for travel. Not only is this to ensure it arrives in one piece but also, so it is not confiscated by customs.

The first step is to ensure that your vape or e liquids are not in the same bag as items like batteries or aerosols. These items can be flammable and pose a safety risk when travelling.

Vaping devices must be carried in carry-on luggage only and are prohibited from being stored in checked bags. this is a worldwide law.

Travel vape tip 5.

Make sure you pack your essentials

Whether you are traveling for a day, a week or a month, it is critical to your vaping journey that you pack all of your essentials.

This includes your device, a back up device if you have one, your charger and enough pods to see you through your trip. There is nothing more frustrating than arriving in a foreign country and realising you only have enough pods for half of your trip. Sending you backwards on your vaping journey and right into the hands of other forms of nicotine.

Think about the type of trip you are going on, is it a relaxing resort, a party trip or a family vacation? How will this affect your vaping habits?
If you think you might vape more than usual, then make sure this is accounted for in your packing.

Safe travels!
